Amanda Jill - College Station, Texas

It's always fun to visit Jill, mostly because it means photography practice (and pizza and crafting and projects and friend time). I love getting to document our friendship, for example most of the photos of her smiling involve me reminding her of stupid/embarrassing things I've/we've done.

What a difference a year makes

What a difference a year makes

So if you follow me on instagram, I mentioned a few days ago that I like setting goals for the new year. My photography goals last year were to find my photography style (or at least make my work look more cohesive) and to shoot in manual for an entire year. Today, I finally sat down to look at my work from a year ago.

Haylie Stephens

I had my batteries charged, memory cards ready, bag packed, and map in hand. And I still somehow managed to leave the house late. When I got to the park where I'd be meeting Lexi Gregory for Haylie's senior session, I was so relieved that I'd made it in time! Except I made it to the wrong part of the park.

Mary Arellano

This was the first styled shoot I participated in, and it was so fun! I met some sweet new friends, got to work with an incredibly talented model, and waded in a river in my rain boots. I'd say it was a pretty successful day!

Courtney Dowling Law

Courtney Dowling Law

The past few weeks, I have been working away on a beautiful new website for my dear friend, Mrs. Courtney Dowling. Courtney and I met through church almost two years ago, and let me tell you she's a force to be reckoned with (which is exactly what you want in a defense attorney).
