So if you follow me on instagram, I mentioned a few days ago that I like setting goals for the new year. My photography goals last year were to find my photography style (or at least make my work look more cohesive) and to shoot in manual for an entire year. Today, I finally sat down to look at my work from a year ago.
At first, I was a little discouraged. I definitely started to nail down my style, but I didn't feel like I had made much progress with the technical side of shooting. Then, I realized that I have progressed leaps and bounds. In all of the shoots from a year ago, I was lucky if I kept 15-20 images from a shoot. Now, I have a hard time getting that count below 75. That's around a 300% increase. HOLY POOP.
So, here's where I'm at. I still get down on myself for not being further along, but I'm going to take my little win and watch it get bigger in 2017.
